Summary: The quizzes that the students took last period will be handed back and reviewed. Students will be given an opportunity to ask clarifying questions. I will then give notes on the process of meiosis and then pass out a Venn diagram worksheet that compares mitosis and meiosis. Students will work with their partners to fill out the diagram and then I will ask for volunteers to share their answers so that each student has a completed chart to study from. I will pass out a list of questions that students will need to answer by reading their textbooks.
Homework: Create a foldable that serves as a study tool for the steps of meiosis. Follow the directions on the worksheet handed out in class. Also, read pages 323-329 and answer the questions on the other worksheet handed out in class.
